2018 is almost upon us, and we are all thinking about our New Year’s Resolutions this week. This blog has become part of mine.
It’s safe to say I neglected the blog for much of 2017. More than once I tried to get myself back into it, but I never did. The move to Delaware has inspired me to take it back up again. There is so much to eat, and cooking still brings me joy. For this reason, I will be mixing up the reviews of events with some new segments. Monthly Cookbook Reviews I plan to choose a different cookbook for every month of the year and review its contents. Each post I make will be about the cookbook and the four recipes I choose from it, one for every week. Being a married woman, finding recipes that both my husband and I can enjoy is difficult. I’ll be asking my husband’s opinion on each recipe, and if we both agree on recipes from the book, it’s a surefire winner. On the Road Again Travel is going to be a big part of my New Year. We no longer live close to family, and the food we encounter on the way will be very important. For each trip, I will try to feature one new restaurant or strange snacks we encounter along the way. Recipe Reviews The internet is chock full of food blogs like mine with their own recipes, be they a traditional blog like this or a youtube channel. I intend to recreate some of these recipes from time to time and see if my results are anything like promised. It’ll be fun to see if it’s my failure or not when the recipe fails to chock up to what’s promised. What would you like to see from me in the new year? If you’re from the Northeast, is there something I should try when I’m here? Leave suggestions for me, and I will look into them for the future.
